Limestone Cliff right outside Lagen Island Resort. This marks the spot where I went on my first scuba diving experience :)

My favorite part of Coron, Palawan: the gorgeous freshwater Kayangan Lake.
The locals are strict when it comes to maintaining the cleanliness of the lake. Picnics are not allowed within the vicinity. Lunch is served on the other side of the steep climb you have to go through to see the lake. It’s a good fifteen to twenty minute climb—depending on how fit you are.The moment you see the lake…it will take your breath away. It remains my favorite place to visit in the whole of Palawan. :)

Giant Water Monitor Lizard at Lagen Island Resort in El Nido, Palawan.
If you stay there, expect this lizard to join you in your strolls around the resort, and sometimes, when you snorkle.

This is a staple Busuanga shot. I’ve seen this in countless travel photos of Palawan, but to actually see it right there in front of me was AMAZING. We were on top of a cliff and on our way to Kayangan Lake when we stopped for a breather, and there it was.
It actually took me by surprise and I couldn’t resist taking a photo. Nothing beats the real thing, still :)
